Today in Rome, in the renewed Consolini Area of ​​the Federation, an operative meeting was held in view of the upcoming Mediterranean Under-23 Championships of athletics, which will take place on June 9th and 10th in Jesolo, 40km to Venice. The assembly concluded a two days of work begun yesterday with the MAU Council (Mediterranean Athletics Union). The FIDAL president Alfio Giomi was introduced by Vito Vittorio, general manager of the local organizing committee. At the table the two co-president Bernard Amsalem (president of the French Federation) and Fathi Hachicha (president of the Tunisian Federation), the vice-president Panagiotis Dimakos and the council members José-Luis De Carlos and Seifullah Shaheen Seifullah. Also present were Secretary Jean Gracia, his deputy Slahedine Boudhina, Christophe Halleumieux and the head of the FIDAL international department Roberta Russo. The Championships, which is held every two years, was assigned to the Venetian seaside resort during the General Assembly of the MAU held in London last August, during the World Championships.
